15 Beers for 15 Years

November 21, 2016

This month marks the 15th anniversary of Sol. And in case you don’t know, we are big fans of great beer (especially me and Troy). We decided that in order to really celebrate each year and all its glory, we needed the perfect beer to represent it. There was some serious time and care (I may go so far as to say love) given to the curation of this list.

We also had the opportunity to enjoy these tasty beverages at our anniversary party—close up of some of our varieties below.

Here’s our list for your viewing or drinking pleasure.

2001/2002 (we merged these two years since we incorporated in November of 2001–we thought it was fair 🙂 ): PBR: Low-budget but aspirational.

2003: Molson Canadian: What you drink in college as “the good beer.” (It’s Canadian, at least.)

2004: Heineken: The omnipresent hotel beer. (Shout out to Suburban Hotels, who was our first in the hotel category!)

2005: Rapturous by 3Taverns: A bit of a “sweet and sour” year.

2006: Guinness: A classic that grows with you.

2007: Orval: Time to celebrate with a big ol’ glass of bubbly Belgium.

2008: Reissdorf Kolsch: My wonderful baby girl, Ella, was born in June. In honor of her rule-following ways I picked a beer that also follows strict rules

2009: Stella Artois: We started working with Intercontinental Hotels Group, so here’s another hotel beer (though arguably a step up from Heiny).

2010: Epicurious by Creature Comforts: We crafted Synq Solutions’ new mantra, “Simplify the Complex,” so here’s a beer that is simple, but incredibly complex. (Also, it has a really cool can.)

2011: GlutenbergIn honor of our healthy friends at LifeAlly, here’s a gluten-free beer.

2012: Red Brick Hoplanta: We started working with our friends at Sustainable Atlanta to create LookUp Atlanta.

2013: Coffee Lager by Red Hare: Because we moved into the Jane this year, this one is a shout out to Octane coffee

2014: Sierra Nevada Celebration: Here’s a beer to celebrate the re-launch of websites for our long-time clients Dynamix and 3C Software, and the evolution of OnAir for the Clean Air Campaign.

2015: Lagunitas Day Time Ale:  This was the “Year of the Dog,” with Wheatie and Oscar joining the Sol team.

2016: Loose Cannon by Heavy Seas: This is an easy one–in honor of the launch of Loose Canon

We’d love to hear about some of your favorite beers and how they may be representative of these past 15 years.
