Lunch with Katrina

February 10, 2022

For our 20th anniversary celebration, we are lifting up the people who have shaped Sol: the partners, clients and employees who have made our business what it is today. Throughout 2022, we will enjoy great food and conversation with the people who have been with us along the way.

The Sol team has worked with Katrina Mitchell for almost a decade. I first met her in NYC where she was a program officer at the Andrus Family Fund working to change philanthropy for the better. Katrina is a connector, a true thought leader, a changemaker, an activator, an activist and an all-around badass. I am lucky to call her a friend.

Throughout the years, I’ve watched Katrina hold up each institution she’s served while working toward change. No matter the role, Katrina leads with heart and integrity. A few years ago, Katrina left Andrus and returned South. After a couple of years working as the Deputy Officer of Strategic Partnerships with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, she transitioned to a leadership role at United Way. She is now United Way’s Chief Community Impact Officer, advancing structural change and truly impacting the lives of children in the Metro Atlanta area. I am one of Katrina’s most enthusiastic supporters and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
