I’m a sucker for gadgets. Whether it’s for work or home, I’m up for trying just about anything to see how it functions. Here are some of my recent favorites:
I’m an avid runner, so my favorite feature of this watch? It plays music directly to my Bluetooth headphones and has a GPS. The freedom it gives me to run unencumbered is awesome. No phone in my pocket, no need for a special running belt – I just put on my shoes and go. And this leads me to my second favorite…
I realize that the price may seem high to some, but if you’re a runner, an outdoors enthusiast or even someone with a long commute, the battery life makes it worth every penny. Also, the earbuds are comfortable. There aren’t many products in this category that live up to that claim.
This past Christmas, we purchased an Amazon Echo, Alexa, for my father-in-law. To say he likes it would be an understatement. He and Alexa have a wonderful relationship. She reads to him, tells him the weather and the most current news, and even plays his beloved jazz classics. My wife and I concur that it was probably the best gift we’ve given, ever.
Unfortunately, before we gave it to Papa Joe, we tested the merchandise, so now we’re hooked, too. For current Echo customers, you can get an Echo Dot, hook it up to any existing speaker system, and have Alexa everywhere in your house.
Last, but definitely not least, is my charger. Yes, that’s right – of all the gadgets out there, my favorite is a charger.

Fifteen minutes equates to eight hours of power. Really, that’s all you need to know. For the person who is always on the run, this is a no brainer. And it’s priced right.
