I have the privilege to work with some amazing women, without whom running our company would be literally impossible. The women of Sol are intelligent, insightful, and quite frankly, kick-ass. Here’s a little more about each of them.
Jennifer M. is our fearless Content Director. She is smart, innovative, forward-thinking, passionate and the best writer I know. Her ability to be calm under pressure is enviable. Without her, I would be lost. Did I mention she is also one of my favorite travel companions? We’ve covered multiple events in numerous locations over the years and we always do great work and have a blast while doing it. Love her.
Shannon is our Director of New Business, though she has been with the Sol family for a number of years in several different roles. Smart as a whip and one of the most thoughtful people I know. I count on her for much more than just new business. Despite her small stature and soft voice, she is a powerhouse in sales and a master of persuasion. Her kindness, charm, passion for social change, and unquenchable wanderlust make her a bright addition to our office.
Kathie is one of our awesome front-end developers—yes, that’s right, a woman who codes. She’s a badass. Smart, talented and creative, her work is indispensable. In addition to her amazing work, her infectious energy and smiling face are a joy to have around the office. She also has a great design eye and can proofread the hell out of any print piece.
Marie is a rare sight at Sol because she works from home in the wee hours of the morning. However, she’s a big presence. She’s always the first to jump into a complex programming need with an idea for how to solve it. She also has quick wit and is quite hilarious. As a female programmer with a lot of experience under her belt, we are lucky to have her on the Sol train.
Jennifer J. is our social good practice expert and PR/media relations guru. I steal her away as often as I can from Georgia State University, where she teaches marketing and public relations. Her experience with both the corporate and nonprofit worlds means she is basically a jack-of-all-marketing-and-media-relations trades. She brings amazing experience and depth to us at Sol.
Brittany is new to our team – she is our studio manager and art director. She has an eye for beauty, a love for fashion, and is super organized. She’s already led a few design projects here and is rocking it! Did I mention she is also a master printmaker?
Becca is another new addition. She lends her copywriting skills to our content team. She has been a huge help over the past few months on blog posts, eblasts and social posts. We love her energy, can-do attitude and ability to crank out copy on the fly. And, she is a new dog-mommy to a very rambunctious puppy.
Being a working mom, it takes a village. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the women who have helped raise my boys. Cindy was with our family for 10 years. She technically *is* family. Her love, care and friendship enabled me to focus on Sol from the toddler years to school years.
Courtney. She joined our tribe in the last year, helps me at the office, fetches the boys from school, plays a lot of Yahtzee with Georgie and keeps me sane. Thank you, Courtney!
Linny has been with Sol since before Sol existed – she’s Adam’s mother! All of us in the office are so appreciative of her mindfulness and yoga sessions each week. She’s like the glue that keeps everyone together and in good spirits. We love you, Linny!
