While the past several months have weighed on us heavily here at Sol, the events that have transpired over the past week have been especially hurtful. To see our city, and our country, literally screaming for justice has left us with emotions that are hard to articulate. We know you feel it too.
As a company, racial justice is an issue that we take very seriously. Being based in Atlanta, we are acutely aware of its history of racial violence. Those scars have not healed.
We’re honored to work with funders, nonprofits and organizations that are committed to dismantling systemic racism. We realize that is not enough. We also have a duty to our colleagues, client partners, friends, family, community and country to call out racism when we see it. While we don’t have all the answers, as a company, we are committed to taking a hard look at ourselves and finding ways that we can make a difference. We will listen deeply, acknowledge our privilege and work toward being a creative agency where equity is at the heart of everything we do.
As a first step in expressing our solidarity, we are making a donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center, that works locally here in Atlanta and throughout the South. We have faith that with love, compassion and strength we can all work together to live in a world where no one has to live in fear. Take care of yourselves and each other.
In peace and solidarity,
Mary Tveit and Adam Rosenkoetter
